St. John Neumann Catholic Church

Every Catholic church holds a special place in the hearts of believers.  We go to our parish churches to encounter Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, both at Mass and in the tabernacle.  We bring our babies there to have them brought into the family of God, and we bring our deceased loved ones there to pray for them on their journey home. Couples exchange and renew wedding vows in their parish church.  The repentant sinner finds the consolation of the sacrament of Reconciliation.  In their parish church, people find the support and nourishment that can only be given by other members of the Body of Christ. 

Welcome to the parish church of St. John Neumann – 1825 households strong, 72 of which have joined us since July 2012!  Pray with us, worship with us, walk with us as we grow in our identity as daughters and sons of a loving Father and faithful disciples of Jesus Christ!

WIDOWS/WIDOWERS SUPPORT GROUP

This multi-parish group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 2:00 PM in the Ocean Pines area, and on the 4th Monday of each month for lunch and conversation at a local restaurant. Our mission is to host and lead a support group to guide and comfort widowed Christians. Prayer, discussion, sharing and social support are the keys for success.

The Redemptive Power of Suffering: Finding Grace and Joy through

Scripture and Devotion

**THE RETREAT IS FILLING UP**

In the midst of suffering there can be purpose, redemption, comfort, healing, hope and joy.  We as sisters in Christ will embark on a one-day journey to identify our own "sorrowful mysteries," connect as a Church with our spiritual heroes, and find strength, wisdom, and power in Scripture and devotions.

Sign up before the holdiay season and invite a friend as this is sure to sell out!  Ginny Dauses of 12 Noon Ministries will return as our gifted speaker!

Event to be held at St. Andrew Parish Center, 14401 Sinepuxent Avenue, Ocean City, MD at 8:00 AM, light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments are included. The event will conclude at 3:30 PM with the opportunity to attend the 4:00 PM Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church (100th St. and Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD). Cost is $45. SOLEMNITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

The Solemnity of th Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a

 Holy Day of Obligation.

Once again St. John Neumann Parishioners are invited to help others by means of our annual Christmas Giving Tree, which will be in the Gathering Space beginning the weekend of

November 22/23

Since the erection of our Parish, the Giving Tree has been an opportunity for generosity and a sign of hope and blessing for those in need.

This year's efforts will support

Worcester County GOLD, Seton Center, Gull Creek, Berlin Nursing Home, 

and the Grace Center for Maternal and Women's Health.

Our local chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society manages this worthy project.

Watching the tags disappear and be replaced with festively adorned packages reminds us that every tiny seed of a good work can blossom into a beautiful sign of God's bounty - both for the giver and for the recipient of the gift! 2026 - 50/50 RAFFLE

We will be selling tickets for our 50/50 Raffle in the Gathering Space after all weekend Masses and at the Parish Office during regular business hours.  In 2025, we were able to award a weekly prize of $270! Let's see if we can beat that this year! Drawings take place every Monday throughout the year. Tickets are 1 for $20, 3 for $50, 7 for $100, or 12 for $150. Proceeds benefit Parish Religious Education Programs.

Consider automating your donations with our electronc giving program.  Electronic giving is convenient for you and provides much needed consistency for our parish.  There is no cost to you to participate.  And if you travel or other circumstances prevent you from attending mass, this program will allow your monthly offerings to continue uninterrupted.  Many of our families have taken advantage of this easy-to-use approach to contributing to our parish ministries.  If you are interested, please complete an Electronic Giving Form or contact Deacon Dave Kolesky in our parish office at 410-208-2956.  The form can be found on the parish website, in the Online Giving tab, in the gathering space, and at the parish office.  All online giving information is secure and kept totally confidential.
